Polite Conversation

Yeaah, that’s pretty much what I imagine happens during conversations when we play together. Rolling a dice is for wusses.

In other news: I’ve recently started a new blog, Late for Work. It’s a daily sketchblog, with the occasional rambling thrown in. You should go have a look! Been at it for a week now, and I hope to stick with it for a good while longer.

(There are ponies. STAR WAR PONIES. I bet you want to go look at it now, right?)

I suspect the next update will be a bit late – we’re planning a comic that’s going to be somewhat tricky to draw. I sure do love Mits… :p

Holy crap, it’s only eight days since the last update! WOOOOOOHOOOO!

Also, yes, we’re playing SWTOR, I love it! I’m blue-eyed, I believe in the good of humankind and always expects the best from everyone I meet. In other words, I play a Jedi Sage and I like my light side-points – as well as giggling every time I meet someone talking all chootah-wompah-y. :D

The Two-Armed Bandit

This is partially Aralosseien‘s fault, I think. Our conversations should never see the light of day, but sometimes it’s too fun to NOT inflict them upon Mits. This is the result. Less crude, probably a bit more giggle-worthy.

 

So hey, new year! 2012. I’m still confused that it’s not 2009 anymore, so this will be interesting. I’ve got quite a few goals set this year – I don’t really believe in calling them “resolutions” cause, well, then I think of monitors.
Anyway, most of them are probably not very interesting for you all – they involve dog-related competitions and training, but I thought this one should be shared: I promise to try to post a comic at least twice a month. Ideally, of course, it’d be once per week, but we’ll see how it goes. The big masterfile of 4th wall-idea is bursting with comics, and I got a few sketches done. Hurray!

(I will also try to finish at least ONE big painting per month. I did three in december, which almost killed me but it did prove I can find the time when needed. (One for Mits, one for my parents and one for my in-laws.) Links seem to be a bit wonky in wordpress right now, but I hope these work.)

Do you guys have anything planned this year?

So yes, we’re back again. Into the saddle, as it were. *stares at Mits*

 

We’re not sticking to any specific schedule right now, however. We both need to get back into things – I had COMPLETELY forgotten how to work with lineart for example, as I’ve mostly been painting dogs lately – and until we’ve sorted those things out we don’t want to promise anything.

But yes. Back! It feels great, let me tell you! Onwards to new adventure.

 

(Also, I like gamesplanet but I wish they’d verify my card already because I WANT SKYRIM NOW DAMNIT.)

Hi!

In the absence of 4th Wall comics, I figured you people might want something new to read. Right? Right!

 

You should head over to From Draenor With Love. It’s a new webcomic, launched today, by two friends of mine: Rades and Vidyala. Some of you might know them from the blogs Orcish Army Knife and Manalicious.

 

Anyway, go go! They’re excellent people, and I’m very excited about this. :)

Okay, so before you hit me, look at the picture. Look at those EYES. Let the power of the eyes quell your rage/disappointment/whateveritisyoufeel.

 

Now, then.

 

I’m sorry.

 

Really, I am! Things got busy, I meant to update, things got worse, I TRIED getting around to drawing, and long story short…nothing happened. Well, that’s not entirely true – plenty of things happened, just not on the art-front. My contract at my job was supposed to run out, and then they decided they needed me for another half a year, complete with overtime and everything. Between taking care of the dog (LOOK AT THE PICTURE SHE IS ADORABLE) and working 10-12 hour days a lot, I was pretty much exhausted.

As for not giving a notice here of what was going on: that I have no real excuse for. I didn’t really want to say anything before I knew more, but…eh, again: sorry.

 

Now. We don’t really know when we’ll be back. We have some scripts ready, but finding the time for drawing them is hard. My contract ends in a month, and after that it’s back to looking for another job for a bit, before I go back to uni to finish my degree in linguistics. Hopefully we’ll find the time to update, but until then I’m afraid we’re on a hiatus.

 

Again, sorry. I truly appreciate all of you, and your emails. I tried answering all I got, but some might have slipped through. If so, again, sorry!

Yeah, uh.

I don’t know what to say there. This is sort of true. At work, or parties or just randomly in stores I’ll suddenly find children – or possibly young teenagers, I dunno, how do you even tell them apart? I measure them by aprox. height! – surrounding me. Asking me questions. Telling me about their day. Or, in some cases, what stuff they own and how it’s supercool.

 

It’s really, really weird.

The A-Team

This is partially based on a real event. Some of you might remember this blogpost, where I announced that Discombobulated were looking for members? Yeah. It took us an embarrassingly long time to come up with what to write there.

 

In other news, a little announcement:

Starting today Fourth Wall will only update once per week, on wednesday (polar bear time, obviously.) for the duration of the summer vacation. There are several reasons for this, with one of the major ones being Delta’s arrival in a couple of days. In addition to this, both me and Mits are moving from our current basement apartment into a house with some friends in mid-July.

Funny enough, our lease here ends at the end of June. This means we both get to do that delightful “shuffle our belongings around and stay at other places like hobos until we can move into the house”-dance.*

Drawing will not be very easy with my computer packed away for two weeks, and then I go away for the next three ones to visit the in-laws down south. Having that big a buffer is pretty much impossible with a puppy to train and two jobs.

We’ll re-evaluate this come august, depending on our individual workload, but we’ll get back into posting twice a week as soon as we can!

 

*Don’t worry about Delta – I’ll not REALLY be living like a hobo. I’ll probably spend a few weeks at my folks’ place, in a big house complete with a gigantic yard and lots of space. Did I mention that my parents used to be mushers and everything I know about dogs I learned from them? Yeah, she’ll be fine. They’ll probably treat her better than they do me. I might not mind crashing in a couch, but my superstar will only have the best of the best.
