Yep, dog. Delta. She’s currently on the sofa with Ayms eating an ox-muscle. A specific ox-muscle.
Many bad jokes were made this day.
Also, it’s terrifying to think she may have better stats than me. I mean, have you looked at the stats for a Dog in 3.5 ed?
Str 13, Dex 17, Con 15, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 6
Jump +7, Listen +5, Spot +5, Survival +1*
Daym! I think the charisma may be a bit off though.
Ah, but that’s because the younglings are a bit skewed, stat-wise.
In their initial years before reaching lvl 1, they tend to have Cha 18 or better, while their Str and Dex are as low as 1 or 2. (And their cuteness is a defence against this incapacitation/lack of coordination).
Case in point, human babies can get access to boobies by gargling and looking like Winston Churchill. That trick eventually stops working.
It’s odd though, because the actual aging bonuses in the book mention -1 to physical stats and +1 to mental stats, (increasing with each age step) amongst which charisma is counted.
While you can make the argument that for humans, this charisma bonus is because of a stronger personality and persuasiveness/experience, those don’t translate well to canines, hmh.
Well, that was obviously meant to be a reply to Mr. Muppets. Damnit.
I think it has better stats than myself as well :\
Case in point, next time someone asks you “how long have you been there?” say something to the effect of “quite a while. I just now failed my stealth check”
And thanks for changing the way I look at dogs forever. As if DnD didn’t work its rules into every other part of my life
survival +1? does beign cute save him from eternal damnation? sure is cool to be a dog xD
I think they get a further bonus in favored areas, but sadly, it’s the boring kind of survival, not the generic nuclear resistant type of survival
I have a kitten, little black fella only 9 months old. He is OP right now, but sadly dogs do scale better in later levels.
Yes.
But taking this back to D&D terms, cats are definitely dex-based while dogs tends to rely on strength.
Cats are the rogues of the real world.
