This is partially based on a real event. Some of you might remember this blogpost, where I announced that Discombobulated were looking for members? Yeah. It took us an embarrassingly long time to come up with what to write there.
In other news, a little announcement:
Starting today Fourth Wall will only update once per week, on wednesday (polar bear time, obviously.) for the duration of the summer vacation. There are several reasons for this, with one of the major ones being Delta’s arrival in a couple of days. In addition to this, both me and Mits are moving from our current basement apartment into a house with some friends in mid-July.
Funny enough, our lease here ends at the end of June. This means we both get to do that delightful “shuffle our belongings around and stay at other places like hobos until we can move into the house”-dance.*
Drawing will not be very easy with my computer packed away for two weeks, and then I go away for the next three ones to visit the in-laws down south. Having that big a buffer is pretty much impossible with a puppy to train and two jobs.
We’ll re-evaluate this come august, depending on our individual workload, but we’ll get back into posting twice a week as soon as we can!
*Don’t worry about Delta – I’ll not REALLY be living like a hobo. I’ll probably spend a few weeks at my folks’ place, in a big house complete with a gigantic yard and lots of space. Did I mention that my parents used to be mushers and everything I know about dogs I learned from them? Yeah, she’ll be fine. They’ll probably treat her better than they do me. I might not mind crashing in a couch, but my superstar will only have the best of the best.

It sounds like he’ll end up as a really well trained dog in your hands. And Sundays just won’t feel the same without 4th wall, but I’ll make do. And lastly, how long is summer vacation? So I know how long until I can maybe see 2 comics a week again

Oh come now, the hobo lifestyle is so glamorous! And it’s much cheaper, you just need a rotting jacket, tattered knit hat, and a broken bottle to defend yourself from marauding Dire Rats. Then you can just ride the rails to your new home!
Also, congratulations on Delta! Of course, it won’t be official until you get a piece of paper in the mail that reads “Can I Keep It? Obtain a companion pet. 10 points”.
I doubt it’d be the first pet-achievement tho. I’ve kind of…you know. I grew up on a kennel. We had a LOT of dogs. More than the ingame WoW-achievements reward you for…

Considering how much I hate flats, I hope so.
And by hate, I mean it hurts, REALLY hurts, to put up a comic without any sort of shades/highlights in it. However, if you’re pressed for time you’re pressed for time.
But yeah, drawing a comic regularly for almost a year (!) has made me a tiny bit faster when I work, so I hope the shades are here to stay

this is pretty much me trying to write a large paragraph of some sort.
as i was reading about not many comics being posted, i thought, at first, ”good amys (and mits i guess
) taking a break for yourselves is good” then as i read the rest i relized how stressful this could be. that could be another chance/exscuse to take a break, just til things calm down if they turn out to actually be stressful.
Have a good time, dont rush back, i’ll miss you but you being stressed would be worse than a few missed comics ^^
guess it’s kinda like “artists should have good handwriting” and yet… there’s me. XD
