For shame if you thought this was about something so selfish and simple as being impatient for the release of TES VI: Equestria.
Er, wait, the other one. Skyrim.
This is about curiosity, about wanting to explore selective consciousness! About the desire to expand the borders of-
Naw. Impatient. Wake me in November.
11/11/11? THAT’S MINECRAFT’S LAUNCH DATE!
Exactly, good Sir! Damn Elder Scrolls, trying to steal Notch’s thunder!
Minecraft, Skyrim and CoD:MW3. Every nerd type has been covered. Clearly the world productivity levels will drop dramatically on that date. And it won’t recover for a long time.
I think, obvious Skyrim nerdgasming aside, I am most curious about what exactly will happen upon the Minecraft release. Notch himself has said that for a game that’s sold so well during production, the release date isn’t a big deal – I get the impression it’s almost as much a joke as one might think when you see what it coincides with.
I’ve been too busy with the nerdgasm to give much thought into that, but I think you’re right. 11/11/11 does make for a really good date to release something at least.
I have actually been hammering Oblivion this last week. Bought myself The Shivering Isles. Going for 100% completion.
Then I may go back and play Morrowind again… or rather Morroblivion. http://morroblivion.com/
Completion? There’re objectives? A story? In Oblivion?
You lie.
But thank you for the link! I heard about Morroblivion but never got around to check it out, but I will now.
